Samata Health

Cancellation policy

Effective Date: October 22, 2026
Last Updated: October 22, 2026

Cancel or reschedule on the Samata platform. A session held for you is time the therapist cannot offer to someone else.

1. When to cancel
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the session start time. Use the scheduling tools on the Samata platform. A cancellation made that far ahead is not charged, and it does not use an employer-sponsored session.

2. Late cancellation and missed sessions
A cancellation inside 24 hours, a missed session, or arrival more than 15 minutes after the start time is a late cancellation or no-show.
  • For an employer-sponsored session, the first late cancellation or no-show bills the employer 50 percent of the session cost and does not use a sponsored session. Each later late cancellation or no-show bills the employer 50 percent and uses one sponsored session.
  • For a session you pay for yourself, the card is charged 50 percent of the personal session price each time. That price is the therapist’s rate plus Samata Health’s 10 percent fee.
The therapist is paid half of the therapist’s own rate for that late or missed session. That pay is separate from the price charged to you or your employer.

3. Repeated late cancellations
Three late cancellations in six months, two late cancellations in a row, or repeated no-shows may end therapy with that provider. You would then book with another therapist.

4. Refunds
A cancellation made at least 24 hours ahead has nothing to refund. A completed session is not refunded. A late or missed-session fee is refunded only when Samata Health or the therapist canceled, the session did not happen, or a card was charged by mistake. An approved refund goes back to the same card. Write to team@samatahealthnotifications.com.

5. Where the prices are explained
Employer session prices are the price quoted to that employer. Personal card charges, including the 10 percent fee and the statement name Samata Health, are in the Terms of Service at https://samatahealth.com/terms#payments.
